Hit your OKRS But Miss Your Revenue And Profitability Targets?

“We’ve been missing our top line growth goals, profitability is still a problem, but our OKRs are all set to get us back on track.”

OKRs fail you for many reasons.

They aren’t bad.

How you’re thinking about them and executing them is what’s flawed.

There are also better frameworks to use or couple OKRs with.

OKRs are hot in tech because some of the most successful household names in tech have used them.

That doesn’t mean OKRs are the most successful approach to making you a “household name” (or rather, Category Queen/King).
